Kelly Zerrlaut

Kelly Zerrlaut is co-owner and Director of Serenity Care, Inc, running the day to day operations of our Serenity Pines facility. She is a licensed Personal Care Home Administrator with a Bachelor degree in Psychology and Master degree in Public Administration. She is currently completing the dissertation phase of her PhD in Human Services Management, researching perspectives on ethics in leadership. She has18 years of experience in social services and nonprofit board management, is a member of the National Association of Female Executives, the Institute for Global Ethics, the Association for Personal Care Home Administrators (APCA), the National Federation for Independent Business, and the American Management Association. She serves on the Education Committee for APCA. She is also a certified Medication Administration trainer and teaches staff at other personal care homes how to properly administer medications.

 
Brett Ebbitt

Brett Ebbitt, co-owner, is a 14 year veteran police officer, with 6 years of police supervisory experience, who has been awarded multiple commendations for investigative and life saving work. Mr. Ebbitt is a First Responder certified in CPR/First Aid. He also has 10 years of general management experience and 8 years of experience as a military police officer. He holds an Associate degree in Criminal Justice.

 

 

Our Staff


Serenity Care, Inc. takes great pride in selecting highly skilled and truly caring staff to serve our residents. Every staff member is certified in First Aid and CPR, is a certified Food Safety Manager by the Allegheny County Health Department, is certified in Diabetes care and insulin treatments, and has extensive training and experience working with MH/MR and the elderly. Staff is throroughly trained in how to monitor and prevent behavioral, medical, health and safety issues. Several of our staff members are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Medical Assistants (MAs). Staff is required to have a minimum of 12 hours of training per year under state law, but we ensure staff receives at least 20 hours of annual training in a variety of topics. At Serenity Pines, our residents come first because our staff makes sure of it!
