Serenity Pines Personal Care Home is family owned and operated, serving individuals needing personal care services who are no longer able to reside in their own homes, but are not in need of skilled nursing services. Serenity Pines offers quality services to those who are unable to live independently or choose to live in a community based residential setting with a family environment. We are a certified Veterans Administration community home and are licensed by the Department of Public Welfare.


The mission of Serenity Pines Personal Care Home is to ensure the safety, comfort, dignity, and health of our residents in a pleasant living environment while valuing community, encouraging independence, and respecting each resident as an individual.

Company History
 
Established in 2007, Serenity Pines is located on over two acres in scenic Collier Township, on a quiet residential street overlooking the community. It is conveniently located close to several shopping areas, route 79, and rests near the communities of Mt. Lebanon, Nevillewood, Carnegie, Presto and Upper St. Clair. Serenity Care, Inc. is owned and operated by Kelly Zerrlaut, a Masters level, licensed Personal Care Home Administrator with 18 years of experience in social services, and Brett Ebbitt, a 14 year veteran police officer with 8 years of service as a military police officer. Company Objectives

 

Serenity Care, Inc. provides excellent personal care and support services to adults 18 and older, currently specializing in individuals with mental illness and/or mental retardation. We will provide basic daily living support, social support, coordination of basic health care, and recreational activities to improve the well-being of the residents in our care. To ensure a safe, healthy, pleasant environment for our residents, we will maintain clean, comfortable, safe, and peaceful living quarters that inspires an atmosphere of community, but affords privacy as well. It is the company's objective to hire and retain high-quality staff which exceeds minimum qualifications set forth by state regulations to ensure the peace of mind of our consumers, reduce costs associated with loss of production and termination of poor employees, and maintain continuity of service. We also strive to remain in compliance with and to exceed the minimum regulations set forth by the Department of Public Welfare, our regulating body, the Allegheny County Health Department, and several other code enforcement agencies.
